Being different is OK! Human Rights Week
Human Rights Week is between December 4 and 10. This is a week to learn about differences among ourselves, and to celebrate them.
When you parents notice that your children are involved with bullying or hurting somebody, it is your responsibility to teach them it is a shameful act. In so doing, it is better to tell them your genuine feeling about how much you love them, wish them to grow as nice people, and share the hurt feeling about your children being involved with bullying and discrimination instead of lecturing them about common sense morality.
In addition, I believe it is important that parents themselves show children by not having prejudice or discrimination against anybody.
New Board Members
Due to Mr. Watanabe’s resignation as chairman, board members have changed as described below. Our sincere appreciation goes to Mr. Watanabe (chairman), Mr. Shimizu and Mr. Saito for their contributions to our school.
As you know, our school is organized by the board members, the parent committee, the parent-governed business committee, and the teacher association. We are all involved with running the school. The role of the board members, I think, is to support making the school a fun and cheerful environment for children.
The following three activities are critical to making this happen.
1) Hiring teachers/ Human resource
2) Maintaining a good relationship with Friends Central School
3) Managing tuition money wisely
My own child is studying here with great teachers. I’d like to do my best as chairman as well as a parent to maintain and develop
the school quality with all of you. I appreciate your cooperation.

Yasuyuki Miyake (Human Resource/Fundraising)
Yukihiro Kato (Human Resource/Public Relations)
