The smaller a child is, the more it can be expected that they grow to be role model. The older they become, the less it can be expected that they grow to be role model.
For example, if parents wish their child to be a considerable, kind and warm-hearted child, parents should live so that the child can see the way parents wish their child to be. However, because parents do not act and just wish, they have to nag at their children.
I’ve always thought that children would not follow what parents say. However, children learn a lot from what parents act and imitate it well. If children do not copy what parents do and follow as what parents say, all children would grow up to be so brilliant. This is true to caregivers and teachers and education would become much easier. Elementary : Fall Festival of learning

The fall festival of learning (presentation on learning) was held on Nov 12, Sunday by Elementary. This festival was held as “a part of the Japanese class,” and the students from 1st grade to 6th grade made presentation such as group recitation, research presentation and songs, which are filled with originality and ingenuity.
Although the students seemed to be nervous on their way to the festival, once they started their presentations, they showed their seriousness and tried to put out their results from the practice. After the presentation they seemed to be satisfied and full of their smiles.
At this school we do not have so much opportunity to hold an event gathering everyone in elementary. This was an enjoyable event which we can feel the difference between each grades and contents presented.

 

Junior high school : Fall cultural festival

On Nov 12, Sunday, the fall cultural festival was held for junior high school. In order to appreciate the Japanese traditional language culture, “Shodo (Calligraphy)” and “Hyakunin issyu (One hundred poems by one hundred poets)” were performed, dividing junior high school students into two groups.
In “Shodo” performance, they wrote the letter they each want to write with a brush on white paper. In “Hyakunin issyu” they competed to take the card with the latter part of poem responding to the reading of the first half of the poem.

Use of the mobile device

Never bring items unnecessary for the class
Regarding the mobile devices such as smartphone, tablet and game machine etc, we guide students based on “Do not use between the time you enter the schoolyard and the time class is over and you leave the schoolyard. (School Handbook)”
• Always keep mobile devices in the bag in the school property
• In order not to prevent the class operation or performance, please set smartphones etc, in-flight mode. If students need to contact their parents, please do it before the arrival to the campus. However, if unexpected troubles or accidents happened and the need to contact arose, please contact at 215-901-8172 (School’s cell phone). Except this situation, students may use their cell phone only at the teacher’s room etc with prior approval from the classroom teacher.
