本校は1972年に設立され、ペンシルバニア州及び連邦政府の認可、および日本の文部科学省からの
支援を受けている日本語補習授業校です。

ここ、ペンシルベニア州フィラデルフィアは、首都ワシントン、ニューヨークから、
約100マイル（160Km）のところに位置する都市です。
アメリカの独立を語る舞台の歴史ある街で、500万人弱の人口をもつ、全米第５の都市です。
建国に至るまでの米国の中心地であり、独立宣言のインディベデントハウス、
自由の鐘など、歴史の香りがする古都です。

新渡戸稲造、野口英世、津田梅子など、近代日本社会確立の中核となった日本人を育んだ
日本人ゆかりの地で一緒に学びましょう。

The Japanese Language School of Philadelphia (JLSP), founded in 1972, is a not-for-profit 501-3(c) organization recognized by the State of Pennsylvania and partially funded by the Ministry of Education of the Japanese Government.

JLSP is governed by the Board of Trustees, administered by the Principal who is assigned by the Japanese government, and operated by a group of dedicated professional educators and parents.
