Keep Up the Good Work!<\/p>\n

At long last December is upon us. We all feel a bit anxious as we mark off the last few remaining days of the calendar and think back on all we have achieved this year. I hope that everyone can think back to how they felt at the beginning of the school year. It\u2019s important to maintain our best efforts at all times, even now that we have nearly completed two whole semesters.<\/p>\n

New York Weekly Newspaper Grand Prize Winning story \u2013 Kotoba no Izumi<\/h2>\n

Please join us in congratulating two of our students whose stories have been chosen from sixteen finalists as prize winners by the Weekly New York Newspaper. Sumire Usami won for her story, \u201cNatsu ni Kikoku Shimashita\u201d (I Went Home this Summer), and Lucie Kalabis won Second Prize for hers, titled \u201cKotoba no Izumi\u201d (Spring of Language). The winners will be formally announced in the New Year\u2019s edition of the newspaper!\"smile25-1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\nAs we continue to move to a digital format, we are asking for donations to purchase computers and other devices. Your continued generosity will also enable us to purchase manga as well as books for our non-children collections.
